H2
Whoever manages, in the first two minutes, to turn the heterogeneous audience into a wall of applause can do whatever they want. The battle is already won.
Balletanz
"The upcoming choreographer of the year is Bruno Beltrão. His work with young hip hoppers from Brazil, "H2- 2005", has met with such a largely positive response that there has been talk of a "hip hop revolution", with some critics maintaining that his influence is comparable to that of Forsythe in ballet. This is perhaps a little early, but understandable: the excellence of the dancers and the intelligence of the choreographer creates exciting choreography that is never interested only in effect; that, with apparent calm, penetrates the optic nerve of the person so convincingly that some critics claim it marks the return of contemporary dance to movement, after a growing rejection of current dance, while still providing the grandeur and totality of an intelligent composition."
